What is it about a different look of the same old view that gives clarity?
They wanted to sit on the roof, and after many pleadings, I gave in. That was awhile ago, and I snuck close to see what was happening up there. Laughing and talking, the stuff of true friends appeared. Only hours before there was not congeniality. Blame that on being sisters or recovery from illness grouches.
You should try it. We all should…a different angle, a shadow or light that’s changed. Perhaps God is calling us all to open to new views. Top views.
It’s a better view; it makes us wiser; it smells better. We change our minds. We focus. Breathing deep, laughter comes. It might be risky, but you’ll never even see if you don’t risk.
This day, I saw these gifts and I offer thanks for:
340. Salty air for recovering sickies
342. Those little silver hairs slightly appearing over my husband’s ears
343. Warmth and light squeezing through clouds
344. Wave rhythm
345. Glimpses of hope
346. No more fevers
347. Mom sharing her dream with me
348. Old friend stopping by…catching up
349. Sacred space
350. God always opening to enfold us
Open my eyes that I may see, glimpses of truth Thou hast for me. Place in my hands the wonderful key, that will unclasp and set me free. Silently now, I wait for Thee. Ready, my God, Thy will to see! Open my eyes, illumine me, Spirit divine! by Clara Scott
Join me in giving thanks!
