I’ve been a bit under the weather this week. Didn’t I ask for it making a post about going lower? Well, I was pretty low.
Not wanting to get nasty with details, I will tell you there was a point in the wee hours of Tuesday morning that my bathroom tile looked cool and inviting to my face. That was really a low point. It’s hard coming back from this sickness for some reason, but I did vow to my beloved husband to get a flu shot next year.
When Mom gets sick, everyone is compassionate for a bit and then a little grouchy. I’m beat again at 9pm, so I’ll leave you with some advice and a little prayer…
To feel better: Put your hair in pig tails, make chocolate cupcakes, hot glue 100 goldfish onto a hat that your 1st grader patiently counted out for her Hundredth Day Parade, read Everywhere Babies
as a bedtime story, read a bit of A Town Like Alice (Vintage International), say prayers, and go to bed when you should.
And a Thursday prayer:
Now as we come to the setting of the sun
and our eyes behold the evening light,
we sing you praises, O God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
You are worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices,
O Son of God, O Giver of life,
your glory fills the whole world.
