Happy Anniversary! (and a Giveaway)

Today is our blogiversary!!!! One year ago today, I began to simply share life with you all. It has been a great ride. You have patiently read as I have worked out faith, told you about our unlikely bird-dog, counted blessings, laughed at parenting, fleshed out prayer, and told camping stories. I appreciate you sharing this journey with me greatly! To show my appreciation for you, today marks my first giveaway!

You could be the winner of the book Gilead: A Novel by Marilynne Robinson! To participate in the giveaway simply comment about your favorite thing about this blog in this post. I was going to have you post about it on Facebook, but alas, I am fasting from Facebook for Lent. You can if you want. I won’t even know. You can tweet too. I like tweeting.

This is truly a gift to you readers to show my gratitude, and I know you will love reading Gilead!

Top All-Time Posts:

2. Nothing But the Blood

3. Lent and Rodeo

4. Tater

5. A Broken Thanks

Cheers to another year of writing with fun, faith, and family. Don’t worry I have new material right in front of me. Well, maybe not right in front of me.   Maybe I shouldn’t blog about  a dog that regularly burps…loud. Blessings to you all!

PS: I will announce the winner of the giveaway on Sunday, so get your comment in before midnight on Saturday!

  1. I love the simple, forthright humor of this blog, together with its gentle spirit. (I already own Gilead, so I’ll remove myself from the running on the book giveaway.)

  2. Happy blogaversary!! You have a real gift with words, Katie! I never fail to be refreshed by reading your thoughts! And I’ve been wanting to read Gilead for quite awhile now…;-)

  4. Katie – I love reading your blog – really, it is the one I read most regularly (because it comes to my inbox!). You are a very gifted writer and always say the simplest of things so beautifully. I appreciate your honesty about life, struggles and all, and yet you continue to show gratitude, giving thanks to God. I need that perspective, as I too am a parent, wife, and daughter. You challenge me to be better! Thanks and keep writing!
