The First Day

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

Ha! I just wanted to write that. It is the first day of school, and I am about to pick up a bunch of girls. I can’t wait to hear about their day. It’s been a weird day for me. Everyone was fine when I dropped them off. They just hugged me and said goodbye…even the Kindergartener. I’m so glad. I remember lots of first days growing up, and they weren’t always fun. I was thinking I might get to put my feet up and chill today. It hasn’t happened yet! 🙂 Firsts can be fun, frightening and fabulous! Maybe giving thanks for blessings in your life is a first in faith for you? What a great beginning of an exciting journey. I have much to be thankful for today.

  1. Oh, I LOVE those first day of school pictures 🙂 What a precious clan! I sent my fourth out of five to kindergarten last week and I felt a bit lost… but love knowing God’s growing our kids- all of them- growing them up and growing them into who He’s made them to be. But sometimes I do wish we could freeze time a bit and slow this whole journey down! I stopped by from Ann’s today. Blessed to have found you.

  2. MEMORIES: Second time around for me. I have a grand child, he goes to day care because both parents are in the Navy. I can remember back to when my three boys were heading out the door to first day of school, some 20 years ago. . . bitter sweet memories. I’m thankful for being able to remember those times and I am so glad I took lots of photos!
